Powered by the only open-source engine that is backed by a non-profit, Firefox supports a collection of technologies developers use to craft engaging and dynamic sites used globally by millions of people around the world. From HTML to CSS, JavaScript to DOM API, these interfaces are the foundation upon which the online world is built. We are looking for an experienced Product Manager who understands how the web works and is motivated by its possibilities.

Have you spent considerable time in the world of web site development and want to influence those technologies rather than just use them?

Do you have product experience building outstanding, high-traffic sites, or maybe designing and implementing dynamic, interactive web applications?

Come work on the core web, instead of just web sites!

As The Product Manager For Web Technologies You Will
  • Leverage your own programming experience to maintain a deep understanding of web development communities and act as their internal representative to facilitate web platform advances
  • Guide the platform strategy and roadmap for Firefox’s core web technologies, identifying and prioritizing critical capabilities
  • Team with product, UX and engineering to discover effective solutions, and then work together to deliver those solutions to market
  • Follow and potentially participate in the organizations that standardize the open web (W3C, WHATWG, TC39, IETF)
  • Supply a deep knowledge of users along with data about how they engage with various web technologies
  • Track industry trends and the competitive landscape as they pertain to the various technologies used by Firefox
Ideal Qualifications
  • Multiple years of experience with the techniques and methods of modern product management from discovery to delivery
  • Excellent familiarity in the languages of the web (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) with a solid understanding of how modern web applications work
  • Familiarity with web frameworks such as React, Angular, and Vue including a grasp of the trade-offs involved when using frameworks
  • Ability to learn and operate across multiple functional areas of the business - engineering, design, finance, data science, marketing
  • Can engage with peers and company leaders in a constructive and collaborative relationship
About Firefox Product Management
  • We are building a culture of adaptable product leaders who believe that product management is an apprentice craft, fostered through open dialogue and feedback.
  • We believe in Read. Write. Ship. We read to expand our knowledge. We write long-form to clarify our thinking. We ship to deliver impactful products to the world.
  • We believe in the value of qualitative data to develop rich insights and continuous measurement through experimentation, data analysis, hypothesis, and tracking metrics.
  • We believe in partnering richly to align teams on a shared perspective.
  • We believe in delivering a cohesive and integrated product experience to our users.
  • We believe in shipping products that demonstrate built-in care.
  • We believe in a culture of coaching and reflective thinking about our goals and the day-to-day activities we do to move the needle.
  • In this role, you will do more than mindlessly improve a metric-—you will play an active role in bringing to life the next wave of internet experiences.
  • Innovation thrives on teams where diverse points of view come together to solve hard problems. We explicitly seek people that bring diverse life experiences, diverse educational backgrounds, diverse cultures, and diverse work experiences.
