An Analyst is being sought by a well-established local financial agency to join the analytical and multidisciplinary team of policy experts and supervisors.
Responsibilities:
Participate (including, acting as lead, where necessary) in the authorisation and supervisory work-streams under the Virtual Financial Assets Act
Support, research, develop and/or implement policy projects and initiatives related to digital finance (including crypto-assets) in line with the Authority's strategy and vision
Act as a digital finance and FinTech champion within the authority;
Liaise with the various Functions and Directorates of the Authority in the handling of the various projects and tasks, as well as other Governmental bodies and act as point of contact, when required
Participate in local, EU, local and international forums, including the relevant committees of the European Supervisory Authorities
Undertaking any other tasks as delegated by line management, depending on the Authority's exigencies.
Requirements
A solid academic background in law, accountancy or in banking and finance related background or in any other finance related qualification.
An academic qualification in a relevant field of study at NQF Level 6 or better, duly certified by the MQRIC or a widely recognised professional qualification at a comparable level.
Minimum of 3 years working experience in the area related to the role (longer working experience relevant to the role will be preferred)
If you do not have the necessary academic or professional qualifications but you have at least 7 years of relevant experience within a relevant field you are encouraged to apply. Also, knowledge and/or experience in the field of information technology, virtual financial assets and their underlying technologies, digital finance and FinTech would be considered an asset.
